GENEVA 22 October 2018 – The Philippine Mission to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva participated at the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Exhibit 2018 held at the United Nations Office in Geneva on 25 September 2018.
“As Chair of the ASEAN in 2017, the Philippines hails this exhibit as part of the continued efforts of ASEAN states to promote the region’s profile in Geneva,” First Secretary Raphael S.C. Hermoso said.
The 2018 ASEAN Exhibit, which carries the theme “Resilient and Innovative,” highlights the region’s resilience to face common challenges and seizing opportunities for growth.
The exhibit builds on the efforts of the 2017 ASEAN Exhibit, organized by the Mission, to raise ASEAN’s profile in the multilateral arena while demonstrating the region’s collective efforts in the attainment of the 2030 Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The exhibit ran from 24 September to 05 October 2018 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. END
