Philippines Expresses Support in Efforts Preventing Armed Conflict

Hermoso, First Secretary to the UN and Other International Organizations in Geneva during the courtesy call on July 19, 2017. Geneva Call, an organization dedicated to protecting civilians in situations of armed conflict, works with Armed Non-State Actors and secures from them commitments to respect international humanitarian law. The NGO is currently focused on banning the use of anti-personnel mines and protecting children from armed conflict. The work of Geneva Call in various conflict zones helps ensure that armed Non-State actors also respect human rights and international humanitarian law.
