PHL Consulate General in Geneva Conducts Mobile Consular Outreach in Lausanne, Switzerland

18 May 2017 GENEVA– The Philippine Consulate General in Geneva, in cooperation with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Geneva and the Filipino-Swiss Vaud Association (FILSVA), conducted a mobile consular outreach in Lausanne, Switzerland on May 14 in order to provide services of the Government closer to the Filipino community in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland.
The Consulate provided passport, civil registry, dual citizenship, authentication, notarial, consular and legal consultation services while POLO Geneva provided Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) services. Of the 52 Filipinos who came to the outreach, ten passport applications, three dual citizenship applications, and two notarials were served.
The consular outreach had been also an opportunity for Filipinos in Lausanne and nearby areas who otherwise could not go to Geneva on weekdays to discuss their consular, legal, and labor concerns and problems.
