30 August 2016 – The Philippine Consulate General in Geneva, Switzerland has been receiving several applications from family members who desire to jointly apply for dual citizenship.

In the first half of August 2016, the Consulate General processed two groups of families who applied for the retention of their Philippine citizenship.

On August 14, Mr. Vicente Paolo Yu III and his wife Ms. Genevieve Gencianos, together with their two minor children, Danielle Angelique Yu and Gabrielle Victoria Yu, took their Oath of Allegiance with Consul General Enrico T. Fos.

The Landicho family, led by Mrs. Remedios Landicho, took her Oath together with her two sons Nelson Landicho Jr. and Philippe Landicho on August 16.

The above mentioned individuals have acquired Swiss citizenship and through Republic Act No. 9225 otherwise known as the “Citizenship Retention and Reacquisition Act of 2003”, were able to retain their Filipino citizenship. END
