DOH Secretary Ubial Leads the Philippine Delegation at the Historic 70th World Health Assembly

31 May 2017 GENEVA, SWITZERLAND — The 70th World Health Assembly opens today at the Palais des Nations (Palace of Nations). Health Secretary Dr. Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial leads the Philippine delegation, supported by the Philippine Mission to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, to the highest level of global public health discussions, which gathers 194 Health Ministers, various International Organizations, Regional Organizations, NGOs, Observers and other stakeholders.  The nine-day conference brings together almost 3,500 delegates this year to advance international public health in the era of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
