17 September 2015 – The Philippine Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) and Other International Organizations, with the support of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) screened the film: K’na the Dreamweaver, on September 09 as the Philippine entry to the 2015 ASEAN Film Festival.

Philippine Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Ambassador Cecilia B. Rebong, opened the event. The film, written and directed by Ida Anita Del Mundo, centers on the story of K’na, a young T’boli woman, whose narrative frames a presentation of T’boli life, culture and tradition, through the intricately woven abaca textile T’nalak. Ambassador Rebong shared that in her view, this film is important not only as a fictional narrative on selfless love, but as a work that highlights the contributions of women as instruments of peace, progress and prosperity.

Over 100 were in attendance to view the film, particularly the ASEAN Permanent Representatives and members of the diplomatic corps, international civil servants from the United Nations, International Labor Organization, World Health Organization and other international organizations and members of the Filipino community from Geneva, Fribourg and Vaud.
