01 February 2018 GENEVA — The Philippine Consulate General in Geneva, headed by Minister and Consul General Enrico T. Fos, graced the opening of the Geneva Volleyball Tournament, Season 2 on 20 January.

Consul General Fos in his remarks said that “while the volleyball games are only played on weekends during the winter season, its significance cannot be discounted. The games provide not only a venue for enhancing camaraderie among the players and their supporters. It is also a space for building community spirit in the Filipino community.”

The Geneva Volleyball Tournament is a four-month long sporting event featuring the various Filipino volleyball groups in Geneva and nearby cities of Switzerland. The Filipino-Swiss Sports Club (FSSC) headed by its president, Mr. Juan Froilan Balles, organizes the Geneva Volleyball Tournament. END
