PHL Consulate General Continues to Support #OgopMarawi

22 August 2017 GENEVA, SWITZERLAND — The Philippine Consulate General in Geneva continues to support the #OgopMarawi (Help Marawi Drive) information campaign for Filipino soldiers deployed to fight terrorists in Marawi in Mindanao.

The drive aims to aid the internally displaced people of Marawi City and boost the morale of soldiers deployed to fight terrorists in the area.

"Ever since the drive has been launched and we were informed about it, the Consulate has been encouraging our kababayans here to send letters or postcards and/or sign our book of messages for our Filipino soldiers stationed in Marawi City," said Consul General Enrico T. Fos, adding that "this is one of the many ways where we can demonstrate support for our soldiers who are gallantly defending our country against terrorism. Therefore, we continue to encourage more Filipinos to keep on expressing support - either through written messages or through their social media accounts." END
