05 July 2017 GENEVA, SWITZERLAND — Maychell S. Baracina, a Filipina living and working in Switzerland was recognized on June 13 by the Philippine Consulate General in Geneva for saving a female Swiss national from drowning in a river in Jonction, Geneva, Switzerland last year.

Ms. Baracina hails from Bicol.

Philippine officials present at the International Labor Conference congratulated commended Ms. Barcina’s selfless and courageous act.
