Batch 11 of the Financial Education Program of the Philippine Consulate General and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Geneva

10 April 2017 GENEVA — The 11th batch of overseas Filipinos who took the Financial Education Program of the Philippine Mission to the United Nations/Consulate General in Geneva (Geneva PM/PCG) and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) graduated from the  program last April 01 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The total number of graduates since the program was launched in 2014 has reached 358.

The program tackled risk behavior, liquidity, inflation, and business management in the context of migration.

“I salute you for your dedication in expanding your knowledge and skills as you prepare for the future,” said Philippine Permanent Representative to the United Nations In Geneva Evan Garcia to the graduates during the ceremony that marked the end of the four-weekend course.

According to Permanent Representative Garcia, the Philippine Mission in Geneva will continue to implement programs aimed to benefit the Filipino community in its jurisdiction.  The Philippine Mission is currently preparing a new module to equip overseas Filipinos with more advanced skills in financial management, investment, and entrepreneurship.
