13 May 2015 – Ambassador Cecilia Rebong, Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva, met with  Filipino medical students participating in the Reimagine Global Health Fellowship for Filipino Students on May 03 at the Philippine Permanent Mission.

Reimagine Global Health Programme is a 10-day educational trip to Geneva, the capital of Global Health, which allows Filipino medical students to meet with policy makers, key decision makers and practitioners in the Global Health Arena. The program aims to help young medical minds in developing ideas for reimagining global health knowledge for them to apply in the Philippines.

In his remarks, Philippine Consul General Enrico T. Fos emphasized to the students that they had been given a rare opportunity to witness global health practitioners in action and that they should take advantage of the experience by taking note of best practices that could be used to improve and advance the health sector and medical profession in the Philippines.

The first batch of the Reimagine Global Health Program was composed of 26 medical students from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health. END
